For many families, gathering for the holidays provides a chance to reflect on reasons to be thankful. A growing body of research suggests that practicing this sort of gratitude in our everyday lives offers a host of benefits for our mental and physical health. Here are 5 simple ways to nurture a healthy sense of gratitude in your children.

Doing some holiday shopping? If toys are on your list, keep safety in mind. Toys are fun, but can also injure children. In fact, there were an estimated 198,000 toy-related injuries treated in U.S. emergency departments in 2020.

Follow these 10 tips to help select safe toys for your child.

 Exercise Imagination Like a Muscle! 
As with any skill, practice pays off, and the right equipment helps. Make sure your kids have easy access to open-ended toys and everyday objects (cardboard boxes, dress-up items) that they can play with in a variety of ways. Screens and devices can be distracting while playing with your children, so keep them out of reach.
