Seeing and hearing about the violence and devastation in Ukraine is distressing for everyone. Your child may be wondering what has happened, and what will happen next. It's helpful for children to know enough to feel they understand the situation. At the same time, exposure to graphic images, massive amounts of information or non-stop and repetitive media coverage is not helpful.   Fun With Faces 
Have your child arrange blocks so they look like a face. Add ears, a hat, a bow-tie or a beard! Challenge them to create different expressions—how would they make a face look sad or surprised? This is a great activity for kids starting at around 2 or 3 years old.
