COVID-19 vaccines may be here as soon as early November to help protect children between 5 and 11 years old. This will be a game-changer to help keep kids safe during school and all their other activities. Use this checklist to make sure your child is ready once the vaccines arrive!

Kids have lots of questions–like WHY they should get a COVID vaccine and how it works. This fun, animated video explains this in words kids can understand. Learn how vaccines are like invisible coaches for your child’s immune system, how the mRNA vaccines work, and why doctors know they are safe for children. Your child will be excited to join more than 11 million kids in the U.S. who have already had both of their doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

For families fully vaccinated against COVID-19 already, Halloween festivities may not be as scary as last year. But it's still important to keep everyone safe from the virus, especially kids still too young for the vaccine. Find tips here.
