Getting outside provides more than a fun break for children and teenagers. Research shows it is also good for their physical and mental health and development. Plus, we know that the more time a child spends in nature, the more likely they are to grow up to be good stewards of our planet.  Get Kids Moving 
Studies show that physical activity helps improve cognitive function. Make sure kids are getting enough time for outdoor play both at home and in school. Kids age 6 and up should get at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity each day.
